PopNature: Animal portraits on dirty cars by Nikita Golubev

In a refreshing departure from the typical “wash me” or stick figure banality often seen on filthy parked cars, Moscow-based illustrator Nikita Golubev has started a series called “dirty car art” featuring detailed portraits of animals.

It appears that Nikita creates his works by reductively “etching” into the filth; carefully wiping and scraping away layers of grime to create the animal imagery.

No further information appears to be available on this project, but you can check out more of Nikita’s work on his Instagram and on Behance.
